How to Download Vimeo Videos in 4K

Step 1 — Paste the link and choose 4K

Open Add, paste the Vimeo link, and set the Video quality to 4K. VidLoader shows a preview and downloads at that resolution when the video provides it.

Step 2 — Set 4K as your default (optional)

Smooth 4K playback also asks a bit of your hardware — an older laptop may stutter, in which case a capable media player helps, or you can simply cap the quality in Settings and download 1080p instead, which still looks excellent on most screens. Remember that only videos actually uploaded in 4K can be saved in 4K; for everything else, VidLoader grabs the highest resolution available. Setting your preferred quality once in Settings means every future download follows it without any per-video fiddling. If you're building a reference library of 4K footage, it helps to keep it on a drive with plenty of headroom and to name your downloads clearly as they come in. Should space get tight, you can lower the default in Settings at any time and continue in 1080p, which remains more than sharp enough for most viewing.
